Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet on the Lakers’ radar

According to USA Today’s Jeff Zillgitt, the Los Angeles Lakers have been linked to Fred VanVleet of the Toronto Raptors and Kyle Lowry of the Miami Heat ahead of this season’s trade deadline.

“The Raptors are a hot topic,” Zillgitt wrote. “Will they blow it up? Make minor moves? Do nothing at all? It’s another interesting situation because the Raptors have players other teams want, including Pascal Siakam, OG Anunoby, Fred VanVleet and Scottie Barnes, the 2021-22 Rookie of the Year.

Lakers and Pistons discuss a deal

According to Howard Beck of Sports Illustrated, the Los Angeles Lakers have inquired about a deal that would involve two players of the Detroit Pistons – Bojan Bogdanović and Nerlens Noel.

“Maybe that will be the case,” Beck said. “I’ve heard the Lakers and Pistons have discussed a deal that would include both Bogdanović and Nerlens Noel. Since the Pistons are demanding draft assets in any deal for Bogdanović, it’s sort of a given that the Lakers would have to surrender a first-round pick to make a deal.
